Since the state of Missouri does not have licensing of home inspectors, how can you be sure that your inspector is qualified, experienced, and trustworthy? One way is through their membership in the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).  ASHI is the oldest, largest and most respected organization in the home inspection industry. ASHI's highest rating is the Member. Requirements for this status include: 250 fee paid inspections, passing two comprehensive tests with an approximate failure rate of 40% and yearly continuing education requirements. Other lower designations include Candidate and Candidate with logo privilages (C2)

As a Member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), you can be assured that not only am I qualified, but I also adhere to the association’s standards of practice and code of ethics.  You can find more information about ASHI at their website, www.ashi.org.
